Best Cooling for Overheating Desktop PC

So i got my new expensive but entry level rig last year, since then the processor keeps creeping upto to 66*C even in summers, sometimes got very hot upto 70 to 72*C in these starting summers days while playing games or doing intensive tasks.

I would to buy a fan with a nice heatsink for under 20-25$, i would have at flipkart as that's the only genuine site here in india.

Guys, you tell the name of the fan and i would be searching on some of the free shipping sites with cash on delivery such as flipkart (only india), or a netbanking site offering free shipping in india would also be very helpful.

Is the cpu the one in your system specs? If so those temps are fine.

rightly guessed, but i want the temps to down around 50-55C as many people do increase their hardware life.

I'm not sure yet but I bought this noctua nh-d14 it's a big one it might help out in cooling inside your case unless your using water cooling.

haven't finished building my rig still waiting for my ram to arrive.

The go to HS and fan is the Master Cool Hyper 212+ or Evo and its in that price range.

or just change the thermal paste god knows its probably dried and cracked .......
the thermal paste on most older oem systems has a life span of about 3 or 4 years
remove the heatsink clean it clean off the old paste
apply some AC5 or mx4 if you can find it

unless the fan has failed there is probably nothing wrong with the cooler on it

lol, online here i could only find two shopping sites of india for that fan in google product search but it's priced way too high Rs. 3,000 (60$), no way i can buy it here.

Any good worldwide site ships to India for free and has paypal or netbanking support other than ofcourse Ebay,

i think thermal paste would be ok as this a new rig which is yet to pass 1st year.

before deciding aftermarket hsf i suggest you to improve your airflow, add some fans or using bigger fans and do cable management would improve your airflow, better airflow would help you to reduce the heat
you can try better thermal paste too and make sure your hsf is sit tight and you could do little lapping your hsf base, it would help you to reduce several degrees
