You're all wrong (especially YOU DaMulta!)! Heroes of Might and Magic III is teh best game ever! And those 350h of BF2 is nothing compared to my 1000+ hours in Heroes III! Mwhoahahaha!

Seriously though, Heroes III is the best game I've ever played. ;)

Got to say I'm a huge fan of KOTOR at the moment, but one of my other favourite games would be Final Fantasy X. The Total War games are all very good too (well the two newest ones), as are the GTAs. I don't think I could pick out a favourite.

All my opinions.

Best Racing: Forza Motorsport (haven't played 2nd one)
Best RPG: Final Fantasy VIII with FFVII and Ocarina of Time right behind it
Best combination game: GTA: San Andreas
Best FPS series: Halo, with Half-Life and Doom series' tied for second place
Best Free game: Tied between Enemy Territory and Fear:Combat

I've never played Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142, but I gotta say Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is pretty kickass!

I like HL and HL2, as well as CS:S for brief 10 min sessions w/ the bots.

BF2 is nice, but way too buggy, it crashes to desktop often.

Diablo 2 Exp. would keep me busy all day.

The best games ever made are KOTOR and Chrono thiger :) Kotor has everything - nice graphics ,good gameplay. But the important thing is that both of these have the best story lines ever made. Chrono Trigger may be a little old school ,but I prefer it over most of the modern games.

Man, tough call, BF2 is awesome on its own right, but for me there's only been 6 games I totally got into in my whole life, in no particular order:

Deus EX
Metal Gear Solid
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Chrono Trigger
The Legend of Zelda (Super NES)
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I could play those games for hours and don't feel time go by, enjoying every single aspect like graphics, music, story... really awesome experiences... I still play some of them to date :)

1. HL2
2. farcry
3. combat for atari
There where so many addictive games for atari:rockout: I wish I could find a usb atari controller for the EMU, the controller makes the games. I have to put HL2 and Farcry because they changed game play forever and I really only play FPS.

RPG: KOTOR I & II ... where's III!!!??
MMORPG: Galaxies back in the OG stage... was so amazing, and then they ruined it... over, and over,... and over... City of Heroes is fun too.
FPS, Console: Halo 2 - I had to quit FPS tho when I started seeing crosshairs on people on the street and heard a voice saying "headshot!" ... although Goldeneye 64 set the stage for Halo and is still fun & playable to this day.
FPS, PC: Dark Forces for DOS, dang that crap was fun... I think I was, 9? And then DFII: Jedi Knight: online saber battles!! and JKII: Outcast was uber after that. Didn't like academy.
Racing: GT3 (although i haven't played GT4 yet)... Forza couldn't compare.
Pilot: X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter... friggin online 8 person assaults on a Star Destroyer... again at 8yo... Omg!
RTS: Starcraft ... played that since 7th grade, and still play it today... that is, until SC II (w00t)... but Age of Empires I & II was sick too.

Why does everyone love Battlefield 2 so much? I've played it and it doesnt hold a candle to Battlefield 2142.

But the greatest game ever made is of course Final Fantasy VII. Anyone who disagrees hasnt played it.

RPG: KOTOR I & II ... where's III!!!??

Thinking the same thing myself, I hope they announce it soon - I've played through II, and now I'm most of the way through the first one (well I think I'm quite far). The storyline is genuinely interesting, which is better than a lot of RPGs. I'll probably play the second one again but as a good guy this time (although being a Dark Jedi can be great fun!).

The bad thing is that Kotor II is not as good as the first game.. It has a certain "Have it Done By Christmas or Your Families will Suffer"-feeling to it.

Let's all pray that III isn't an MMO.
