    Quake Live FTW!!

ID completely refined the engine and skinning in this new game.

Jedi Academy. That game was one of the last to use the Quake 3 engine and it milked it for all it was worth. Great effects and lighting at the time, and an all around great game. Wolfenstein comes a CLOSE second as it is one of my all time favorite games. (Cant wait for the next one *Reminisces about the Wolfenstein girls mock killing me and my friend at quakecon this year*)

Alice for me too. I was about to pick Jedi Outcast/Academy, but Alice really did something to me.. It pretty much grabbed my spine and twisted it. Awesome game, great soundtrack.

    quake 3 for sure
quake 3 got me into the "professional scene, but it seems as quake live has replaced the game.

Quake 3 itself, then Cod4, it still uses alot of the same code so dont argue with me

I said dont argue with me.

Then why is alot of the code the same, google it, the base of the cod2 and 4 engines was originally from quake 3, gg.

    /cl_maxpackets
    /snaps
    ect....

hell even /cl_timenudge works, although not an official command

you can have similar commands in any program, it makes it easier.

    http://au.pc.gamespy.com/pc/call-of-duty-2/605310p1.html

gamespy reports the quake III engine is not in the game, also if it had the quake III engine there would be refrance to ID on the package and on startup and there isnt. COD4 is based on a highly optimized COD2 engine.

Many also though Medal of Honor Pacfic Assault was quake III based also for the same reason

I've gotta cast my vote for Alice as well.

As much as I liked many of the other titles, and even QuakeIII itself, Alice was definitely different, twisted, and a lot of fun to play. :toast:
