A friend of mine built a new PC and it turns out the GPU I gave him was no good, so he needs to buy one of his own. What is the best performance you can get in the $100-200 price range?

Yeah a 560ti is good value for money. Overclocked they can compete with a 570. 6850 is good for a cheaper card, it can push the detail but dont expect a lot of aa+af. I have one and ots got really low in price which makes it a decent buy.

I would say the 6870 if he wants AMD. It can handle most games @ high settings in 1080P. For the money i spent on mine it was money well spent, couldn't be happier with its perf. on my 1080P screen

Get this Sapphire HD 6950 2GB at Newegg, only for 199.99 USD (was 249.99 USD), and free shipping too! More video memory than the GTX 560Ti 448 shader units version, which you would need in a lot of new games.

560Ti is the way to go, but if you can spare a few more "bucks" get the 448 version.

Radeon HD 7770 in sub $150, 6870 at anything above, save for that amazing deal on that 6950 that is probably the best to go for

If you like ATI, 6870 (or 6950 if you can find a sweet deal) or if you like Nvidia, 560 Ti (Or the 448 version/570 if you can find a sweet deal)

Wait that graph looks messed up for some reason? This one maybe easier on the performance wise
560TI beats 6870 and is equal to 6950
