I am looking at some hardware to use to build my friend a computer, but I was wondering what would be the best PSU to get for the current hardware to get and to be future proof to add on 2 more cards for SLI, and some hard drives. I don't want him to pay $250+ for a 1000w PSU.

Please don't mention a PSU calculator, they really don't work.

    Hardware:
    Antec Nine Hundread Two
    Sunbeam Fan Controller
    2 Rosewill 120mm Fans
    1 200mm Fan
    1 Scythe SlipStream 120mm fan
    CNPS9700 CPU Cooler
    AMD Phenom II 940BE
    AsRock 780a Motherboard AM2/AM2+
4GB Corsair Dominator w/ Cooling Fan
    XFX GTX285
    Western Digital Velociraptor 150GB

A good 600w would do. I would go Corsair 650w or Antec Earthwatts 650w.

Your sure? Because he will be adding later on 2 more GTX285's and maybe some more harddrives.

Fitseries3 has a PC Power & Cooling 860w for $220. He has run 3 GTX 260's and currently 2 GTX 295's on it. Send him a PM.
    Castiel says thanks.
