Zenimax owns Bethesda and ID. They can save a lot of money by not outsourcing to third party publishers. It makes sense.

You apparently have no respect for Quake or its founders.

I certainly do not. Never played that game. I was too busy partying at that point in my life. Both Quake and Doom 3. I should try those games out at some time.

This is OLLLLLD news. This was all officially talked about at QuakeCon. This is nothing but good for id. Rage resembles Fallout 3 VERY much.

except Id will give us a better game thats less buggy seriously in F3 you can skip 50% of the game just dont do the three dog quest and skip to the rivet city done and done lol so if Rage is so close to F3 id think that would be bad for bethesda since fallout is now there franchise 2 competing Ips under the same company hmmm could be intresting

Rage is a shooter so there's not going to be any overlapping.

It's a win win for both companies. Bethesda gets a very good developer to publish and their technology. iD gets (or may I say recovers) the "when it's done" status regarding their games and a much friendlier financing. As I said iD will continue with their shooter tradition (even if they introduce small rpg elements) and Bethesda will continue making RPGs. As I said no overlapping in their sales.

Bug? Have you not played the first two?

Just seems odd to point that out when there are some real and annoying bugs in FO3. Just try to take someone's spork! ;)

I was saying Bethesda's games are known for being very buggy and needing tons of community support and hard work to make into the great games they are (esp The Elder Scrolls) and I assume this will be a different story.

And by "first two" you are referring to Fallout 1 and 2? They were developed by Black Isle and published by Interplay.

It's not old news. Zenimax/Bethesda buying ID is old news, Rage being published by them isn't. Rage was out of the deal because it already was published by EA AFAIK.
