Ok, I guess I will just have to hope that my mom finds my RAM, lol. Such a great system wouldn't be able to really shine through without at least 2gb of RAM. The reason I made the second was becuase the system would still be decent. Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz, 7600GS, 2gb DDR2 RAM, or Athlon X2 2.6ghz, x1950xt, 1gb DDR2(until my mom finds my other stick, lol)... Hmm, guess I will go with #1 then. When I get down to Florida I will open a checking account, deposit my Paypal money into it, then order my stuff.

Since I am going to be working alot, I will just get the CPU and a 2gb RAM kit, live with the x600xt, and then about a week later get an 8800GTS, or maybe a GTX... Either way I'm not going to have a working rig for about a week... So I think I will go with tthis for my current purchase:

Yeah, I make $320 a week working for my dad doing manual labor building golf courses, so I might wait two and get a 8800GTX...

I CAN'T LIVE THAT LONG WITHOUT A COMPY!!! Besides, I checked up on some reviews, and the e6400 ran side by side with the X2 5000+, and I plan on getting a 5600+, so I should be good with an X2.

I was only suggesting nVidia because that's what it seemed you prefer. If you want a 2900, go for it. I have no major complaints about mine.

I was looking at firingsquad.com, and the 8800GTX took the cake in everything. I really dont want to spend $550 on a vid card, so does anyone know of anyother benchmarks that will show the HD2900XT kicking ass? If not, does it at least give a better image?

Meh, I have been an ATI fan from the beginning, but I just thought the 2900 blowed, based off reviews.

The GTX isn't what the 2900 is meant to compete against. It's to compete against the GTS, where it trades blows, depending on the game. But you also have to realize that there have only been 2 driver updates for the 2900 so far. The biggest downside to the 2900 is power consumption. You'll need a beefy psu to run it. Either way, you will have to get a new psu to run even the 8800GTS anyway. Choice is yours.

Ok, this one good then? Only problem is I need to find a better PSU than the one above now... Linky to a sub $100 PSU thats awesome and has high wattage?

Yeah, it's a good card.

And yes, you'll want a better psu for it.

PSUs and cases are 2 places that I wouldn't skimp on. Buying a top notch psu now, will likely save you from having to buy a new one for at least the next couple builds. Same goes for the case, but that's more personal preference, some people like to change cases like they change their underwear. lol
