1.5 gb ram... i knew i should have got 2 gigs.. but it wont be a big problem on 1024x768 right?? thats the highest my 7 year old monitor can go..

It will run at that resolution.

I have been playing since last friday morning, on and off. I should point out that the beta only has one map and one type of gameplay. Titan mode only and Vandurm Map. (I don't really know the name of the map, but it starts w/ a "V")

Sometime in OCT or NOV 2006. That is the offical word.
Anyone who says a firm date of...I would ask them their source.

i am in this beta too.the keys i heard were a one shot deal,you install with it and thats it.it checks online when you install it.on another 2142 forum,some guy put his beta on his laptop to try till he got home.when he got home his beta would'nt work on his home machine.

i think it is very good,my mates who've been to have a go think its very good too.imho theres less bugs in this than shi**y bf2(coz its been fu**ed by 1.3).

DAMNIT! As soon as I saw the link i clicked it hoping to play it...but no... you have to be paying filefront to play it and plus even if you do pay file front it doesnt gareenty that you will be able to play. I hate you EA and Filefront.

I don't5 know if I'll be able to play it, I have a nvidia fx 5200.. I cant play bf2 on medium or it lags like u wont believe..

5200..... if there was an ultra low settings on 2142 you might get 20 fps

also i dont know what you guys are talking about,I play fear fine with 1 gig of ram on HIGHEST everything with an overclocked 1900 XT

There is an update out to the BF2142 beta. Also the beta sign up is now closed through file planet.
Go somewhere else like gamespy or ign or ea or bf2142.com.

If you already have a beta key then head on over to fileplanet to download the new client.
I hear there are several improvements.

they've changed a few things,i dont really know if it it better or not.kinda seems the same to me.the map is differant tho'.

THIS GAME IS SO SICK.. IVE BEEN TESTING IT FOR A WHILE NOW BUT THE SERVERS ARE VERY UNSTABLE AT THE NIGHT TIMES MOSTLY.. A WORD TO PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO BUY IT.. THE UNLOCK WEAPON FOR THE AUSSULT IS TERRIBLE

I too have been having "Connection Problems". Some times when I try to connect to a server that isn't full it will kick me and say "You have been kicked by the server for excessive team killing or a sucessful kick vote."
I am like WTF I haven't even played on that server! I guess we can look foward to some to the same problems we have w/ BF2. I do hope they fix their problems. I have reported this to EA.

Other than that no complaints. I get a new rank for every hour I play.

I think I am now a Corpral.

to late buddy...they did it on the first of sept, and all the 1000keys were gone in less than 3hrs. doesnt seem like there is gonna be any more keys. i guess wait for a mp demo or wait for the game.

Not sure that was true, I got my key after 3H, I got it a few days later no problem. (well a few days after EA started that advert when you load BF2).
