While searching the internet for a few hours I came across something that I found quite interesting.
A video, probably fake but worth the view.

On top of that, I randomly got an email the other day. It included possible specs for the upcoming Battlefield 3.
- Single core processors 2.8ghz Intel or AMD 3000+
About the same as Crysis
- Multi Core supported
This means that those new Intels such as:

Who knows if these $1,000 chips will run BF3 that great when it's released :/.
- 256mb Minimum Video Memory
What chips!? Most people have 256mb today though, however I'm guessing it would be released around the same time the 9 series is announced, the 8900's from nvidia are supposedly coming out in February.
- 1 gig minimum ram
Makes sense, I wouldn't imagine playing it on Vista without 4 gigs!
- 12-15gb of free space
Makes sense, the most recent game I have is Supreme Commander and that requires 8gb
I've noticed that the specs are quite similar to Crysis's specs, but there will probably be a bit more eye candy. Also, the most notable item missing is information about OS's supported! Is XP supported?! It would make sense, here's what's on http://bf3me.co.nr:

Most important... Windows Vista and OS X. This would be a horrible move for EA. First off only half of the Battlefield players may even have Vista at the time, they would lose a huge amount of traffic off of that. OS X, even if they did, it would be a delayed launch, look at patch 1.4 for BF2142 it came way after the PC patch, Mac only has 15% of the market, plus a computer that would play BF3 decently on a mac would be $3,000. While its PC counter part would be ~$1,500.
Post your specs here: http://www.enterbf3.com/viewtopic.php?p=14#14
Who knows, all we can hope for is the best.
A few awesome BF3 vids to go with it!
