I have a motherboard laying around here that gave trouble in the past, but looking at the BIOS releases for it, I think the problem may be solvable.

Regardless, should you use the version the motherboard manufacturer recommends (Awdflash 8.24f), or is it safer and perhaps better (because of bugs being fixed) to go with the latest version of the utility?

I generally feel my comfortable flashing from DOS. I'm just waiting to hear whether or not it's best to use the version recommended by the manufacturer, or if this is only the case because it was the latest version at the time.

I dont see why the old version wouldn't work, nor would I think the newer versions of Award Flash would cause any issues either.
