Bios mods for Palit Radeon HD 4870 Sonic Dual?

Let this thread be for everyone with the Palit HD 4870 Sonic Dual card.

I see that the bios for it is not yet in the database here, so for starters I'd like to ask if anyone who has the card has had success applying The 4870 "2D Low", GPU voltage/Memory clock rate Bios Thread to it?

I have one. It seems this card doesn't like ATITOOLS scan artifacts much. I changed the card twice, and the 3rd card still gets artifacts. It doesn't overclock well either, furmark crashes my computer when I run it at 790 core.

It works great at turbo though, and if flashing to another bios makes it overclock more I would like to try!

Can anyone tell say what's the VDDC temps on the Palit 4870 Sonic are compared to the reference design?

Now, a month has passed since I started this thread, and I have to admit I'm a bit disheartened.

In the meantime, Palit has released a slightly revised version of the board, and a 1GB model too. I realize that the Sonic Dual doesn't have a temp sensor for the VDDC, but my other question still stands.

Has anyone modded the bios on a Sonic Dual (on any of the versions) and to what success?

I owe one. 60c under load with 775mhz core. The card doesn't seem to overclock at all over 775mhz. Even 780Mhz overclock gives a driver crash. Very strange card. I have a feeling i need to exchange it for some other, cause i was sure i'd be able to overclock some more.

Overclocked Diamond Radeon 4870

I have my Radeon 4870 clocked to: 975X1100 using only bios modding to overclock. Runs 30-35 Deg cel with air cooling and very stable. No artifacts with ATI tool. Just Thought I would post what these babies are capable of. I have had it up to 1000core. But I decided to back it down a little. Overall awesome card!

I've got 4870 palit sonic dual bios 512mb, i flashed "turbo bios" exactly like it says here http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=672474
and with "top asus 4870 bios" and card is not botting.. had to switch to second bios (thanks palit for dual bios ).
So what can i do to save the turbo bios?? is there a way to ressurrect it?
Only 100% sure ways please, i dont want to return another card.. (had faulty sapphire 4870 already).
