I bought it on steam for 5$ and I don't get why everyone says its so great. I got bored of it after a few hours and now I pretty much have to force my self to play.. Everyone else says its awesome and were pushing me to buy it long ago for full price.. I like how it runs great in DX10 tho, I guess..

I have fun with it in bits, I can't make a run through for hours on end, it does get old that way. But it is enjoyable as something with a great environment and solid sound, decent graphics and great performance. The plasmids are entertaining, it's cool how they do come in handy from time to time. Kind of like Stalker, this game can get old quickly, to me it's more of a game you're either in the mood for or you're not.

I've had tons of fun with this game, but again, I'd take a brake and play something else for sure.

Hmm, I played it non stop till I got to Ryan, then it went downhill. It really starts picking up later. After you get past the surgeon it gets really good.

I loved it, gets good when you get some decent weapons and plasmids and stuff.

    Go good, save the kids!

They're making a movie of it:)

Pay attention to the content of the game and listen to the story. Not all games have hordes of enemies to keep you busy.

Got bored within an hour of gameplay. No real penalty for dying - that ticked me off endlessly.

I haven't got bored of it once. I am enjoying the game very much. I think personally it's the best shooter this year.

I guess it depends on the person. The thing that keeps me going on games is story, I just find it incredibly lacking there since you're really the only character you see.. Or do you get a partner or something later on. I just got to the part where Atlas' family got wasted tho, I kinda felt bad.

Nope. I don't think I am interested in it right now. Maybe the game will pick up and I will like it but so far I probably won't even look at #2.

    +1

Bioshock is one of few games that bring some thing new that are not copy of copy of a copy.
What not to like Great Graphics, Runs Great, Interesting story line.
Compared to 90% of the games are alien invasions what is up with that.

    I liked the game.
Just depends on personal taste I guess.
I don't like Stalker for instance.

Hopefully they'll make a awesome movie of Dead Space. I can see it now...Ron Howard or Steven Spielberg directing(Lucas sucks...why do you think Indiana Jones is better than Star Wars).

Getting back to the subject. Shawdow, do you like indepth stories? When I played Bioshock I thought it had a really deep story compared to all the other FPS, besides Half Life, and I felt easily lost on what the hell I was doing sometimes.

it was originally a screenplay, go find the anime film they did before the game..it's a terrible game of a great novel/comic/anime film lol

and personally no FPS has topped HL in terms of story IMO - it's all the details that from HL1 - HL2 ep2 make it so much more rewarding overall.
