    Noise is the way forward Kyle. If it louder, it's faster - everyone knows that. lol.

    only fan controller I have is on my mobo, and if I dialled speeds back for this fan another one would be affected that runs at 100% silent =/

    And noise isnt the way forward IMO, high CFM 20db or less is the way forward.

    You see that little doo-hickey right next to the akasa cable adapter in the 1st pic, it reduces fan speed when put between the fan and the fan header. I could give you that free of charge if you order the 120mm :D

    I'd say about 1/2

    EDIT: that's 1/2 the fan's original RPM not 1/2 an RPM :p
