BTW, do you have a dual BIOS on this card? If yes, try switching it to another position when your PC is OFF. It should be near the XFire connector

I tried that already was one of the first thing that i done, but nothing, i even flashed the second bios for see if that would work but nothing.

I tried to clean the CMOS but nothing , the only thing certain is that when i install video driver for some reason windows dont wanna boot .
In safe mode works .
No i dont have the cd but i used 5 different drivers but nothing il try with that thanks.

Edit: The autodetection software tells me that the driver are installed and see hd 7900 series but the problem remain

I would maybe try vista and 8 versions of the software. You don't have any other pc's you could use this card with and see if the problem persists. Or try a different gpu in this pc

Before going to bed i tried my hd 6950 and work but before unistalling the gpu driver the hd7950 was working as well , the problem is that even on a fresh install dont wanna work with the basic gpu drivers.

The drivers are unified for windows 7, 8 and 10 at 64 bit

What driver versions are you trying to install? i had the same problems trying to install an hd4670 and i had to use older driver to make it work, try an older version and see how it goes, i'd say version 13.xx? forgot the one i used but it worked.

The oldest was 14.12 omega driver and other version but the main problem is after another fresh install is that in the device manager the gpu was already set as VGA Standard and after i change drivers and reboot same story .
The problem is for some reason with the gpu that is being detected as vga and if you let the system see that is not that does not like it .

Edit: This is how gpuz see the gpu with the driver installed without reboot using 13.XX version, but does the same with newer too.

6- If all fails try updating windows to the latest version you can and then do a fresh driver install.

7- Check if your .net framework/visual c++ are updated too, if not, you can install the ones that came with the driver package and access them where the installer extracted them, you can cut/paste those out the extracted folder to skip them while installing the display driver itself to save some time .

"Windows's HDD":\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-whatever.version.you.have\Packages\Apps <-- The folder where you'll find the stuff installed by amd's installer.

Try to find how to disable permanenty on w7 if you think that worked, it's 5am hehe, gonna catch some sleep lol.

Yeah finally it would been fault of the gpu if anything worked and good luck.

I got lucky and find a new one XD but i have to wait for shipping so some more days without gaming and other stuff that need gpu horse power.
About my strangely dead gpu i dont really understand why is doing like that.
This is not the first time that was give me problems with drivers but the system was never seeing it like vga adapter but as 7900 series BHA no words .
Thanks to all for the suggestions and i hope that something like this will never happen again.

Just my opinion... If it worked with the HD6950 and does not with the HD7950; then, I would say the HD7950 is either, DOA or someone screwed the bios up.
If the bios is screwed up... try to reflash with the original bios.
If the HD7950 is under warranty, then RMA it and use the HD6950 'til you get it back.

Edit: You posted while I was typing... glad you found a new one.

Also, if you have lost other cards and/or devices... you might wanna check that PSU out for trouble or your power source.

Thanks for the suggestions, I cant use another psu because i dont have it but before all this mess was happening i was thinking to buy a new one XD.
About the bios i flashed only the second one and the first is the original so evene switching to bios 1 to 2 with other bios in the second give me 0 success .
I cant RMA it because in the first place is second hand , buyed in january on ebay and second i had to change the fans because one died 2 months ago so for use the new ones i had to use zipties for the cables.
The thing that give me headbrake is why for unistalling the drivers i got this is nosense.

This is just supposition... but, the card may have been on it's way out anyway since the fan died. The card could have been abused by it's previous owner.
Sometimes, what is is and all you can do is wonder why.

Hi guys just a little update.
Yesterday i received the brand new hd 7950 boost edition and after installed it windows recognized it right on asking me with a promt as is shoudl be .
Installed the drivers and all works all right so was already dead my last gpu because windows never poped up the promt in installing it.
