I just bought a Blu-Ray Player / DVD Burner combo drive to enjoy the latest HD movies, and when watching the movies with Cybelink PowerDVD Player 7.3 noticed that the CPU usage is 50-60% on a 2.7GHz Dual Core CPU and the HDD is constantly working hard on something (have no idea on what) and the funny part is that the Player doesn't want to work on my DVI connected LCD monitor, gives an error that the connection is not DCHP compatible, it works only on the D-Sub (VGA) cable connected projector that's set up as the second (extended monitor). Is this normal? Any experienced similar things? Maybe some settings or drivers don't work properly on my PC? I have the latest 8.2 Catalyst drivers installed.

Is there a program that could encode to XviD and compress the movies for storage?
