I'm not sure if this is the right thread or if this site support this issue, but here goes:
My sister has an Android phone that was infected with engriks. I rooted the phone and delete the file, but it still downloaded more apps.
We decided to take out the sim and sd cards out and do a factory reset. It worked fine for a couple of hours. More apps installed by themselves bypassing the Play store.
After the factory set didn't work, I looked in Backup & reset and noticed two options were checked: (Back up my data and Automatic restore). I unchecked them and performed another factory reset. Two suspicious apps installed: Hot video and Fast cleaner.
Is there any way of cleaning out a phone complete or is there an exploit in Jellybean?
