book shaped external enclosure

    i am looking for a external enclosure somthing similar to the wd mybooks as i have just purchased 2 of the 2tb blacks and i was thinking of puting my samsungs into somthing similar and thought they would looks good all together!

    anyone seen anything similar please help coz i have google with only one result and it look bad!:laugh:

    Just don't go for those mybooks, they're the worst I've ever used. 2-3MB/s average, the Gigabit interface is pointless. Caused some crappy processor it has.

    What's your budget?

    they are bad performers but i got two for £150 and i only use them for storage so isnt a problem atm!

    im looking to spend arround £15 to 20 per case!

    looked on ebay cant get any cheap ones or used wds

    and those ice box doesnt look bad they could stake well wouldnt use it internal but still price isnt bad

    Try getting some old linkstations off ebay. The original HD 120 LANs are pretty good. The HDD is only 120GB, but you can swap the HDD out for a more modern drive.

    We have a couple of them. I've just swapped out the 120 HDD for a 160 2.5" HDD. Cool, silent, quicker 8MB cache makes it more responsive, plus very low power for 24/7.
