I recently got a Rampage II Gene motherboard, however I do not know it it works or not. In order to test it I need a 1366 i7 (I have access to a Xeon but it is not compatible). If the board works I will buy the I7 if it does not I would want to return it (I will pay for shipping both ways.)
Otherwise, if I cannot get a cpu I will sell the board untested and will give a refund if it does not work.

What are you looking for on the board? I've been thinking about picking up another i7 1366 combo since they are getting cheap. PM me

A Xeon cpu should work if its the same 1366.... Have you tried it or you just checked the cpu list they have online ?

Just looked it up online. I cannot confirm the board as bad with it but there may be a chance I can partially test it, but I would prefer not to pull apart my server.

The gene will work with a xeon chip. I tested a E5502 in mine with no issues.
    DM3K says thanks.

Tried it with a Xeon e5530; it did not post. Since it is not a supported chip this is not an indicator that the board is bad.
