right now is 1280x1024 im planning on gettting a new monitor soon also 22"

OK for now until you get it, your monitor in a way is "bottlenecking" your eye candy of the video card. Meaning max res is limiting, but yet 1280x1024 is still a decent pair up for that card. Once you get that new monitor, when you game at a higher res, your cpu won't bottleneck as much. But, it isn't much of a bottleneck either as it is right now.
