If you argument is that you shouldn't pay full price for a new game just because it has been out on a different platform for a while and you can buy used copies for that different platform for less than full price, then go buy a used copy for that platform. Problem solved.

you know, I kinda realised that after the keyboard warrior up there decided that he isn't smart enough to use legitimate arguments so he has to resort to personal insults.

However there's too much fat there for the personal insults to actually hurt hell I think it could stop a .50 round

What else can I say to make a point about the PC gaming community getting games that are broken, late, have fewer features than console versions, and cost the same other than we are all allowing it to happen and its like getting shit on?

You really don't get it do you.... They haven't just added the video editor etc, the whole thing is worked on, better textures, framefrates, less stutters etc. make it look better.

You're basically saying your happy with PC games being carbon clones of console games and you dare question my legitimacy as a PC gamer with a statement like that.

The whole reason we spend £2000 plus on a rig is so we can have the BEST if it means waiting sure, Otherwise we end up with another watchdogs with everything locked down looking the same as £350 consoles :/

Thats just it, with how game building works these days, they can make a high end game, and then dumb down the resolution to make it work on a console. Knowing that, we could have the whole game available at the same time.

I am not happy with the games being a carbon clone, otherwise I would be a console gamer. I am not happy about the game being made, and delayed so they can bow down to console gamers while they put their ass in our face and blow us a kiss.

Broken: GTA:V when released will in fact have less bugs than the original, due to all the bugs in the console will have been patched for release, so bugs in PC vs bugs in Console on release day for each will be less

Late: Yes, there are delays, your legitimate point is that it is delayed... BUT if the advertised release date was 12 months later than consoles, So what.

Feature Features: Well no, this is the opposite. in fact we're getting more features, better gameplay, better support, better/higher resolution support, better textures, better framerate... everything us PC gamers want.. Hell wasn't there even talk of a FPS mode?

Costs the Same: REALLY? well I can buy GTA V on preorder, in the UK for £28.00. Xbox 360/PS4 was almost DOUBLE that on release date.

So, 3 out of your 4 points are completely invalid.

Nope, it will support up to 1680X1050 with the steam version, but the full game supported 1080P. If you downgrade the game you can get it back, but with the different binaries you will have issues. I played it for awhile with the mod, but came to a point where leaving the house caused a lockup.

Its simply lazyness by Rockstar, the code is in the new version, but they don't want to, or seem to care enough to enable it, and the fix for now is bugged.

1680x1050 is 8:5 (16:10) VESA resolution, not 16:9. To put it into context, the very first HDMI connectors were produced in 2003. You'd be hard pressed to find ANY 16:9 games in 2005. About the only one I can think of is Fable: The Lost Chapters and even that came out (September) after GTA:SA (July). Ironically, the PC release was delayed on Windows for Fable and Fable III just as it was for most Rockstar ports to PC. Why? Polish again. Had Fable released in 2004 with its Xbox clone, I guarantee you Fable on Windows wouldn't have 16:9 support nor all of the other options we find in that game on Windows. Fable was actually one of the few console ports to Windows done right. Of course, it helped in the conversion process that the Xbox and Windows both ran on Intel and NVIDIA processors.


PS3 + XB360 version = PowerPc-based processors
XB1 + PS4 + PC = x86-64-based processors
Foundationally, they're completely different games. The only thing they share is title and content. Not only is it launching on five platforms versus three, they're radically different going from 32-bit architectures to 64-bit architectures. This is why the delay is longer than previously. There's a lot more work for them to do.

How is the PC gaming community getting shit on in this case? We will be the last to get it so that means we get the most sussed out, polished, feature filled game out of everyone because they have had all that time to work out all the bugs possible on the consoles first all of them in this case.

As for the topic. By all means rage on a "old game" because have you seen how buggy the console versions are? It's horrid.

The PC version will probably be next to bug free. Better graphics, more stable.

And the option to multitask on a single machine. Brilliant! (I like recording, skyping, and web browsing all at the same time while playing games.)

As well as more options to choose from.

Who cares if consoles had it 17 months earlier. I'm planning on somehow selling my booty to get a copy of the PC version because I feel as if it's a luxury to play on PC. I'll still love my PS2 though.

Broken, the consoles 360 and PS3 are so vastly different than PC hardware you can't compare them. Bugs that will never exist on a PC will cause them to crash, and bugs on either of them will cause the others to lock up. Only the most recent generation of consoles is PC hardware at the core.

Late, yes 8 months for GTA4 was later, but I had no issues with it, and for how dynamic the game and player interaction was it looked fine.

Features, like how the 360 and PS3 got a lot of DLC for free, that isn't available to PC, or cost. Google exclusive content on each of the peasant boxes VS what we get with PC's and see what I mean, it makes me sick to think how much is being thrown at console users when we all have much better hardware $$$, own a OS $$$, pay for the games $$$ and console gamers buy boxes that cost MS and Sony money to make, have no OS, and buy games for the same price. We are getting screwed here.
