Well, in a quest to lower power consumption of my MSI HD 4870, I eventually bricked it up while trying to flash a custom BIOS

You can read here what I was trying to do : http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=75317

I was flashing the card with Radeon BIOS Editor and when I clicked "Flash" button, the computer hanged and I knew exactly what is gonna happen. next My computer won't post anymore and I'm left with a 2 kg paperwieght

Having said all that, it's not the 1st time I'm flashing anything and researched it in advance on what should I do if my card won't post after flashing...so I'm goona follow the procedure here http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/vidcard/152

I'm using ASUS P5Q Pro and that doesn't give me onboard VGA so I need to look for another elchepo PCI-E card so that my computer could boot and I could revive it again

If you have some better ideas, please post

You don't need a pci-e, a pci will do and there is also another way, research blind flashing.;)
