I've removed viruses using Avast & Malwarebytes but still get browser redirects when trying to go to any Microsoft sites or update page. Any suggestions?

Try Spybot S&D. Also try resetting your home page if you haven't yet.

ComboFix. If that fails(which I doubt), HijackThis IF you know what you're doing.

Well, there is the manual way and the software way.

This will work in Windows 7, too: How to Enable or Disable Clear Virtual Memory Paging File at Shutdown in Vista

Or, use some tweaking software to do it for you. Such as, TweakNow PowerPack
    Tweaknow.jpg

Now, just some FYI, enabling this will clear the pagefile on each shutdown, so it will slow the shutdown of windows. Just dis-able it when you finish, if you wish to speed the shutdown back up. You cannot just delete the pagefile while Windows is running, if you did you would probably crash it or running services and apps; that is why Windows does changes to the pagefile during shutdown, nothing is using it actively.
