    Hey, just wanted to show you guys if this is a great setup. I just "window" shopped online to see how much it would cost, and which parts I plan to get.

    If you can please tell me if everything is fine together. I also plan to do CrossFire (only if I really need to).

    Am I missing anything? Is it possible to reduce the price further?

    THANKS!

    If you can hold on until say school is out or beginning of June it would be well worth it. Bulldozer is suppose to show up by then and maybe also Llano (depending on who you read).

    Though I too get the empty cart just to confirm.

    Woops! sorry about that!
    So I built two systems, one is AMD, and the other is INTEL.
    Both systems are around $1200-$1400 in total price.

    My plan was to double (or even triple) the power of my current gaming system.
    I still want to focus on the overall price VALUE as well.

    Now, I need YOUR help to determine which components are not required.
    And if I can reduce the overall price as much as possible.
    What I will use this system for, is strictly gaming. Nothing too hardcore.
    Although, I might do CrossFire with another Sapphire 6870 if I really need to.

    Mostly just games like: League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3, etc.
    I am not planning to play games like Metro 2033 or anything of that level.
    If I am missing any components, please let me know!

    I also DO plan to overclock the video card and processor of my new system.
    I might do CrossFire with another Sapphire 6870 if I really need to.
    All the other things like cooling and such, I won't worry about that at the moment.

    INTEL ---> http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/4549/intel1.png
    MOBO ---> http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/1581/intel2z.png

    *** For the INTEL setup, I could actually go for a Core i5 760.
    This could reduce my price further, around $90. Is this a good move?

    *** And also, for the MOBO in the INTEL system, should I get Maximus III GENE?

    My current system is as follows:

    CPU: Intel C2D E8400 @3.0Ghz
    MOBO: Gigabyte UD3L LGA775
    VIDEO CARD: Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 1GB
    PSU: PC Power & Cooling 610W
    MEMORY: Mushkin 2x2GB 800Mhz
    CASE: Antec Three Hundred
    CPU COOLING: Scythe Shuriken
