Now that I think of it, could it be that the delays suffered were on purpose?
If bulldozer was on time (lets say June 2011) it would leave enough time for intel to tweak Ivy bridge and rush the release to catch up before christmas, instead of the expected january 2012 release
However, if AMD delays bulldozer, intel wouldn't have enough time to play catch. Of course, if AMD is so confident on their product.
But other people say the delay was caused by Sandy Bridge, which pushed AMD and made them change their plans. Now, what theory is the most certain?
