You're in the correct section. I suppose it all depends on if you play games or not because if you play games, I think you'd want a mid-high end board. If you use your PC for general use then I'd suggest low-mid end.

Edit: What chipset are you looking for?

If its a intel board get a picture of the pins. It's never happened to me but I sold a ECS p67 board on there with a picture of the pins. The guy had it for a couple days and messaged me it came delivered with bent pins. I don't know how it happened considering I put the plastic cap back on.

    thanks for all the input

actually I am eyeing for this board

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/GIGABYTE-GA...311197894?pt=Motherboards&hash=item33872ce2c6

I know lots of you will say ah dont buy that too expensive go with LGA 2011 :D

But I want that board :toast: reason? nah I just want that board period :p and they dont sell here anymore.. :banghead:

I also ask gigabyte, they dont have global warranty :banghead: hate that..

But a guy here, gives me advice (thanks dave :D) says for build quality, go for gigabyte....

I already ask about warranty and he said its up to 09/2015. I checked his feedback and seems he is supportive...

I figured, why would I buy new one cause mostly new one, if there are problems, means its a factory defect. I figured since it is manufacture refurbished, it was already been used and check by giga technician...

But one thing worries me is that he also listed this

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/GIGABYTE-GA...311197892?pt=Motherboards&hash=item33872ce2c4

He says its two different motherboards...

Is it ok to ask him to take a picture of both motherboard?

Thanks for the tip ken about the taking pictures of the cpu slot....

Please tell me what should I ask him more.... I want to collect more information first from you guys so I will ask him in one go.... I already send him 2 messages dont want to keep asking him everytime...

So I wanna collect inputs from you guys

ebay is safe if you know what to look for which you have done.

I have yet, in 10 years of buyung used or refurbished computer components on ebay to get a dud. I think since you are knowledgable about what you want, and manufacturer refurbished is usually pretty good, that you should have good luck with this purchase.

If its a good deal. But good deals on e bay are rare. Most people get caught up in the bid and pay more then if they had shopped around. I did however get a p55 board on time for $14. Still runs today

    Thanks guys for the input.

@rtw, I do of course keep searching for more and more and if I cannot find answers anymore, thats the time I asked here. I thought about the manufacturer refurbished. But since he listed as well the "seller refurbished" made me think twice. As I check his profile, he do however sell lots of boards and cpu's. But I will ask about his listed "seller refurbished" in my next question to him. Just gathering more questions for him so it will be a one go and one reply for him as well.

@brandon, I read about ebay protection and it seems ebay has more "protection" to buyers than sellers. and from his feedbacks, seems he got a lots of good ones and the negative feedbacks, he do reply on the negative feedbacks so it seems he do care about his "reputation"

@jetser, to be honest, I cannot say its a good deal. Newegg has that board for 360$ and with a 100$ manufacturer's rebate. But newegg does not ship that item for APO addresses :banghead: But like I said, I do like to have that board. But in korea, they dont stock anymore  and they are selling for 550$ before when they had stock, so I will bite that board for 300$ + even if it is used as long as it is working properly and without problem.

if getting it is your only concern, i fund i on a Norwegian web shop (here) for less than 300 usd. You could try mailing them to see if they ship to South Korea

Not that I'd be overly concerned, and I'm not sure of eBay's rules in S Korea, but I'd look into their buyer protection for international transactions.

When I bought a monitor that was garbage from S Korea, eBay basically told me they don't cover international sales as they cover domestics. Worth looking into.

    their ordering email is: ordre@dustinhome.no

it does say on their site that it can be used for ordering stuff.

Also saw that i actually get a small discount on that motherboard, the standard price is equivalent to 300 usd.

No worries at all and nothing against S Korea :) the first one I bought was trash but the second I bought has been fine for about a year or so now, so I'm pretty happy.

If you get this mobo from eBay, work case scenario is that you pay to ship it back before getting a refund. Shipping back may be expensive but at least it's something.

Why UP7, do you plan to overclock sub zero? If not that is really overkill for 99% of average owners. If you are looking to overclock on Z77 the MPOWER is a great board at a great pricepoint. Many overclockers love that board - both extreme and standard. I am just wondering why that board since it is usually overkill

thanks alot :toast: i will send them email asking if they will ship to korea and how much would it be. By the way, if they will charge with their customs, it will be big right? as norway is one of the highest tax in scandinavian countries... But I will send them email first. Thank you very much.

Its ok I'm not korean :p just staying here :D I read about ebay policy as well and they said shipping is not covered if I have to return. Currently im negotiating with the the ebay lister and like I told him, I am not thinking about returning the board so i really need his assurance that it is working properly so I will not pay that much money just for shipping or RMA.....

i know alot of people will say like this. Honestly, I like overkill :D. Actually I wanted the x79 as well but if I get that board, I may cannot stop myself to maximized it ^_^. Meaning I will put everything I can put there. extreme CPU price is also not of my thing now... On my next build after 3-4 years, I will definitely build with extreme cpu's..... a. Thats why I took 3770K. But when I upgrade my monitor, I feel crossfire is not enough. I know it is enough I just feel like that. Thats also one reason why I have a 32gb RAM :D no reason. But I do use this as RAMDISK and it so freaking fast this RAMDISK....

Im going for "overkill" board cause I want to have 7950 trifire + GT640 for phsyx.... I know I know with all the problems I can encounter and so and so forth. But, I like to fix "stuff".. it makes me feel good. Not really called as a hobby...But I already made up my mind.. I do search for like 3 weeks now about this, about that.. and I have a plan for my old mobo as well..... to build something like I can carry all the time at work.... but I spare you from that........ I wish I could sell my 7950's but here, nobody really buy 2nd hand stuff here and if I buy in ebay, I cant really sell even half of what I paid here... Mostly these guys here, just threw it away even if problem is only like battery.....

And thanks again guys for all your input.

actually there is no extra taxes apart form the VAT on hardware, The VAT is 25%, so importing to Norway is actually ok. But you are Exporting from norway, no taxes there, you migth eaven be able to get the VAT back. the price of 300 USD is with taxes (like the rest of the civilized world the advertised price have to contain the VAT here)

So no extra taxes from Norway, maybee for importing it to korea

thank you for that.... i sent them email. but its weekend now so i guess ill get answer next week...

im gonna call customs on monday or tues ask about import tax but i think its like 20%. but i need to confirm first.... but since us and korea has this free trade agreement, they might dont charge on products from US. but have to call them on monday....

for now, got to just relax and enjoy weekend :toast::toast::toast:

Edit: received email from norway retailer they dont ship to korea :(

    back to shoppping options again.....
