I was perusing around the interwebz looking for CAD software to do some woodworking design. As anyone who has ever done this knows, you usually have two options; free/cheap and crappy or good and really expensive.

I ran across Alibre who has an offer for their standard version for only $197 (which is a fantastic price for CAD software) and after the 30 day trial, if you don't want to buy it it reverts to an "Express" edition which you can continue to use as long as you want.

I believe the price is a promotion and ends at the end of the month, so take a look before then.

I thought that people who design their own cases (or whatever) might find this of interest.
