@krusha03 's choice is ideal in my opinion.

I have a Gigabyte 970 A ds3 that is marginally cheaper

it clocks my Athlon ii x4 640 from 3.ghz to 3.5 with ease and stays cool. They go on ebay UK for £ 20 - 30 2nd user.

When i made my purchase if i had the money i would have looked at the 990 chipset range but they are approx twice the price.
Ok, so you are saying I will be able to OC my 3.5 GHz Processor I want to buy to 4.0GHz? Because I am aiming for a .5 GHz increase. (3.5+.5=4.0) If so, Awesome!

Guys, I'm not looking for Serious overclockability. I only want a small increase from 3.5 (Stock) to 4.0 I just want a Mobo that is capable of doing that without burning up, I don't need any special design or anything that is capable to bringing me to 5.0 or whatever.

Most of the boards you have picked out are designed to be at stock and yes it may have SOME ocing abilities but will put more strain on those boards you have picked out and when it blows and takes your ram or anything else with it you will be back here going "What happened guys my PC is smoking"

Which one? The first one he listed or the second one?
Either one. If $15 is a big deal get cheaper ram. Example:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Performance ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($76.49 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $131.48
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Vs $139 for your ram and board. So you get awesome board, awesome ram and you save 8.5 bucks. If i get another another "But what about...." post i am gonna :slap:

@ITechFreak look at my system specs. Specifically the Gigabyte mobo listed with a 8320. I have the exact same mobo with a 6300 and I was able to OC it to 4Ghz just by raising the multiplier. It didn't even need a bump in voltage.

Btw, both of those mobos are rev 1.1

How many ways do you need to be told?
Five million

But anyways, I will be buying this in a while, when I save enough money, and the good thing about not buying the rig now is that soon more fx processors will be coming out and the fx 6300's price should go down, and if you look at the "Price Drops" section of pcpartpicker.com you may see that RAM prices go down pretty often. I will be buying this for about $300 by the time I actually do get it.

I didn't know it was a Fatal1ty board.

Actually no new FX cpus will come out. Ram prices have been on the rise since their all time low in end of 2012 (but have gone a bit down recently and look stable) and that board offer will not last forever so this thread was pointless. You may be correct in your assumption that you will be buying this for about $300 by the time you get it thou, because currently it costs $255 to get everything.

I didn't know it was a Fatal1ty board.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
After all this he's not ready to buy now? Ugh............

Ask the questions around the time you are going to purchase people! Pricing, availability, new hardware, etc... things can change so much in a couple of months!!!

That's not what I meant. I meant that my system build will cost about that by then: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qsXsgs

This is another of those "I've lost the will to live" threads...... thanks to all for patience...... OP, when you are in a position to make a purchase drop me a message and I will re-open your thread but the advice here is sound.
