Can you play all the games on windows 10 tech preview?

Pretty much what it says above? And if you can run games, which games does it support? Are there any advantages?

It runs all the games I've got very well. Though there are no real advantages. Since no games support DX12 yet.

I'll be interested in this as well, especially at release time, because I have some real gems of older games, such as American McGee's Alice, that wonder of wonders still play on W8.1. I would hate to lose playability. I could always leave one machine in the house W8.1 just for older stuff in case.

It should run every game that W7 did without problems. However, it's a beta, so there may be the occasional glitch, in which case Microsoft would be keen to hear about it.

Note that this beta is spyware in the sense that Microsoft tracks your logins and other sensitive information for product improvement purposes. They do reveal this in their terms and conditions however, so it's not malware.

I'm still not comfortable with this however, so I don't really do anything much with the beta.

Not very many. It doesn't tend to get updated between builds too much. Except for the 1-2 daily defender updates. Speaking of new builds, I've been waiting like a week for 10056, on fast ring. WTF? Is anybody else on Build 10056 yet?

You can always go back to 8.1, if you don't like it. It backs everything up for you so you can.

EDIT: I just found out that build 10056 is private. I see it was leaked, and not official yet. My bad, I saw an .iso of it floating around last week(so I thought it was public). I also found out there's a private build 10064 out there now too.

Yes 8.1 x32/x64 drivers work properly for 95% of software

I had trouble with origin games at first and the original build had performance problems with DX9 games I played but I have no problems anymore.

And it's a tricky one I see. They've done a pretty good overhaul this time, changed all kinds of things. Looks like I'm in for quite a few tweaks, adjustments, reconfigures, and reinstalls. Yay! :nutkick:

On a happier note, the catalyst beta drivers finally work 100%. I couldn't get the HDMI audio drivers to install correctly before. Everything else worked...pretty much. CCC was kinda wonky sometimes. Worked "most" of the time though. Seems perfect now.

Sooo...off to work I go. First on the list...reinstall GPU-Z. Is not working at all now. Can't have that. :lovetpu:
