I bought yesterday this card. It is passively cooled, but the heatsink getting very hot (80 degree C on idle). I decided to underclock it in order to increase it lifespan.
Using RBE I downloaded and edit BIOS to setup lower clocks.
GPU stock clocks are as follows:
Idle 157/200
Under load 650/400
In RBE I put all modes to be 80/180.
The first attempt to flash failed. I messed around and managed to flash it through dos.
To my surprise the card continues to run on stock frequencies, while check bios through RBE indicates that all modes retain 80/180.
Any advice is appreciated.
