I run the uninstall tool and it says this tool cannot run with anti-theft installed, but I have uninstalled mcaffee through control panel and searched program files for anything but I can't find anything. Why doesn't this POS software GO!!?!?!

Click start, write in the search box "msconfig", go to services tab, check "Hide Microsoft blabla", click "disable all" and restart the comp.
Open RegEdit and delete all registry entries located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\McAfee Anti-Theft and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee Anti-Theft.
Go to C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86) and C:\ProgramData to delete all McAfee folders.
Open msconfig again and check the services that you unchecked.

re-install Mcafee and run the uninstaller again as administrator.

i use it like 10times a month or something like that on new Lenovo computers that comes with it pre-installed.

I pretty much got rid of everything from my pc about and it doesn't run on startup so I think it's gone, but the uninstaller thing still thinks it is there.

they made the uninstaller for a reason, because their install leaves things not only in the Program Files folder and ur user data folder.

Open REGEdit, select "Computer", press Ctrl+F, search for McAfee and delete what it finds.
