Well... As personal preference... I would go with nVidia, as I have a GTX 670 upgraded from a 470 and I couldn't be any happier.

    You looked into professional reviews?

I always heard that ATI driver support was a little... weak. But I'll let ATI users decide that :)

I'm with erocker, you get a lot more to offer in a card and cheaper going with a HD7970. Nvidia's GTX670 is there next to highend card and will overclock to a GTX680. You can't go wrong with either card, but the extra 1gb of video ram on the HD7970 and a overclock to 1ghz and higher will beat the GTX670. The only reason I would pick the GTX670 over the HD7970 is if I played a lot of physx games. :toast:

    +1 670gtx
Second that remember BF3 beta...most ATi users couldn´t even play it....

the 7970 will give you a bit more Frames in some games.
The 670gtx on the other hand and this is proven by reviews give you maybe lower but Smother frames per second
and not to forget: 670gtx 170W TDP against what do they take on oc? 300W+?

Another vote for 7970, love mine and no weird driver issues that some like to talk about, not even with crossfire

It really depends on what you want to use it for. I haven't had any issues with my AMD cards or my Nvidea cards and they are both fantastic in their own ways. AMDs are cheaper and are better optimized for gaming so if you plan on playing with multimonitor and prefer smoother graphics (higher fps) the 7970 would be my choice. But if you want to play with 3D and run with better physics and do alot of 3D modeling like CAD then the 670 would be better. Not 100% sure with the CAD thing though, just what i've heard and my experiences.

Really, you're linking a problem in Diablo 3 that affected just old cards (4500 and below) and was almost immediately fixed with the 12.4a hotfix? Pretty weak argument imo to say AMD cards have bad drivers.

    No indeed. :slap:
    This is what you posted:

Your "just saying..." was nonsense. :nutkick:

No fanboys here, other than people who like to see/hear/read logical comments.

Same for me, Everything has always worked as intended. While some people may have problems it does not apply to all of us and that is why i also don't take this bullshit around the net as fact.
