I works fine on my laptop but on my pc i get this and don't know whats it from?
It looks like something is accessing the disc, so it can't be shut down. If those file paths are the cause of the issue, it looks like there's some sort of logging being written to that disc.
If it comes down to it, you can always shut the system down, unplug, and start it back up, heh
yer thats what i've been doing but its a pain doing all the time lol
Edit: And, go to device manager and make sure under the drives section for that drive; under properties, that the option for Quick removal is checked in the policies section.
thanks but i still dont know why its only happening on my pc not my laptop both have win7
i found the problem there was a few hidden boot files on the drive maybe from a old install of win7 files were
Boot folder with a heap of files in it
The only way to be sure that's not causing a problem is to reformat the drive, heh...
i deleted them seem to be fine now
Call me crazy, but I generally just pull out USB flash drives with out doing that, haven't had problems yet.
i dont really like doing that im talking about a usb harddrive 1tb with all my games, music and programs
yea, if i had important info on it like that would do differently, didn't realize it was a external HDD
yer thats my life right there
