Can't stop E-mail notifications!

Every time a thread I've written on gets a reply, I get an e-mail. I get over 50 e-mails a day!
I tried stopping it in the user options by choosing the option of not sending e-mail notifications, but it has not worked!

Somebody help me.

You'll need to go into the subscription options in the User CP, click on list subscriptions, and delete all those threads that are in your subscription list. Although you turned off the feature for new automatic subscriptions, you are still subscribed to all those threads that you posted in before turning it off.

That's ridiculous. There are over 600 subscriptions.

why not create a folder in your email and filter all of the emails from techpowerup to go into that folder automatically... then you wont get bothered about email in the main folder... (mail program dependant ofcourse but most of them have this functionality)

when you get a email notification on that email there is a link to unsubscribe to that or unsubscribe to all click the unsubscribe from all one

The option in the UserCP only applies to new threads you subscribe to. So the old threads are still set to Instant notification.

The only way I know how to change this is to go into "List Subscriptions" and manually change all the threads from Instant to None.

It isn't so bad really, you can do entire pages at a time by checking the box at the very top, which will select all the threads listed on that page, then you can go down to the bottom, there will be a "Selected Threads" option, in the drop down box select "no email notification" and press go. Do this for every page, it shouldn't take too long if you only have 600 threads(I've got 3800+ and it only took me about 5 minutes).

You can actually probably get away with only doing the first 4 or so pages, as any threads older than that are probably not going to get posted in again. You might get one or two really old threads that get resurrected, and you'll get an email from it if you only do the first 4 pages, but it should eliminate 99% of the emails.

You can do what Soylent Joe said also, but that un-subscribes you from the thread completely, which means when there is a new post in it, it won't show up on your UserCP home page, which I kind of like to have.

Well, you all helped me. Thanks, guy with my dream upload connection for the e-mail folder suggestion. Although, the link doesn't work, 'evil inside' logo guy. I have a photographic memory.. very bad with names, though.

But, I think Newtekie deserves the thanks, since he took so much of his time to help me. And you're right.. deleting 25 pages is not all that hard. Thank you, man. It's.. interestingly always been a pleasure to talk to you. You're like gold in my eyes.. smart and never mean.
