Hi everyone,
I know, I know, how can a case upgrade (coolermaster cosmos s) break one of my 5870????
Here's my problem:
1. Swapped my case to cooler master cosmos s and had to use the god awe full 24 pin adapter to power on my cases.
That's it. That's all I did, now I cAn only get one of my 5870 to work???????
My system boots of the xfx 5870 but I can't get past the windows 7 intro screen with my asus 5870 cross fired???????
Put the asus in as a single gnu and I can't even get to the bios. My crosshairs iv reports a red VGA light.
I bring the asus 5870 to eclipse computers and low and behold the 5870 works on there test bed??????
I then think, ok maybe it was stuck in it's own bios and now it's been booted on a different mobo it will boot in mine..
Wrong. Still not working on it's own or in crossfire???
Here's my conclusion:
The asus 5870 uses an 6 and 4 pin power lead compared to my xfx which uses 2x4 pins. Could I have a faulty pus?????
Please advise if anyone has had this problem.
Btw, reset CMOS still no asus gnu working
Regards
Bboy
