anyone with a 4800 series card nice any improvements with Warhead?

Yup, much smoother.

Any FPS increase in CoD4 and UT3 engine games?

COD4 runs 60fps most of the time for me anyway. As to UT3 based, that is a hell yeah! I tested on Gateway, where you go in to the bit with the plants etc. It used to get about 30fps, now I get 40-50fps. Also overall FPS is up and FFOW got a gigantic boost, although not sure if that was the new 1.2.0 patch or drivers.

@batmang

Since your "guinea pig"-ing them; What are your results with a 3870? Any good?

just wanted to ask and see if anyone was experiencing the same "issue" if its even an issue.
I just dl and installed CCC 8.10 and every thing seems to be going good. Only weird thing is that on the Overdrive section. When I use the scroll down menu to switch between Hd4850's, each one has a different memory clock scale.

By this i mean, on my first card, the scale rangers from 750-1200mhz, but when i scroll to the next card, the memory scale is 993-1200mhz. I did O'C both cards, but for the memory clocks, I cannot match them, because one is set on 1115, and the 2nd on 1113. There is no way for me to get them both to match.

Also, since CCC cause the cards to have an "Idle" clock when the gpus are not under load, since the memory scales both have different minimums (750, and 993), the two GPU's idle at different clocks. Will this this an issue of any sort?? Or its no biggie and I can just look past it? Thanks

In case anyone was wondering this beta does add support for the new 4670, no more having to use crappy one-off disc drivers.
