    Hello

i have resolved the problem error code 43 when installing catalyst 8.12. This error disable one of the two radeon 4870 and say device incompatible.

So i have disabled in mobo bios ASUS P5E-3 the feature REMAPPING MEMORY and installation driver of catalyst 8.12 go ok. Crossfire enable by default and i dont make any system restart. :toast:

Can you re-enable memory remap once crossfire is active?

For anyone running Vista x64 with 4GB disabling memory remap will cause them to loose almost 1Gb of their available RAM.

If i enable the remapping feature crossfire goes in error. I have just speak with AMD customer care and say me that with 8.12 there's some problem with certain memory configuration with up to 3gb of memory. They say me to remove 1gb of memory to try install 8.12... instead i have disabled the remapping function. In the next release i think the problem were resolved. :toast:

OK thanks for clarifying. My configuration works fine with 4GB and 4850 crossfire but I know many people have been having problems with 8.12.
