As of the past several weeks, my current ISP has gone tits up and my speed has dropped to a level where i am not happy with, now this seems to be a service wide problem and they are "working" on it but so far there has been no improvement even with the new equipment they have installed. So i have given myself/them till the end of the month to return me to my normal speed of just under 4meg.

Now i looked into BE-internet but before i jump ship i would like to hear some opinions on their service from some of the UK TPU members if possible before i make a choice.

Thanks,

Can't help you, as I am in the States.
Just curious; who is your current isp, what speed and how much they charging you?
Have you tried using something like opendns; every millisecond helps...:)

Currently with Plusnet Technologies. My line is rated for 7meg and i was getting download speeds of 3.7mb-4mb. It has dropped to 1.2mb and as low as 700kb and adsl dial and 20CN capacity has been in the red for over a month because of the problems with their London equipment.

BE-Internet are offering 8meg for roughly the same price, but its just all the fuss of swapping over. and there nothing better than getting first hand opinions from current/ex customers.

Sorry, can't help you, except to say... If it were me, I would call Plusnet and tell 'em I am switching today unless you get my stuff fixed. Not fixed, then I would go ahead and switch, better a little short pain than a long term suffering. Just my opinion.:)

I hope someone from the U.K. can give more insight or options to you.
