    Good call on that.

    Barbaricsoul:

Let rickss69 and myself know what kind of games he likes to play. I got quite a few older titles lying about.

haha Glad that all worked out! I'm sure he'll be equally as shocked on how simple it is to assemble your own system, so not only will it be a great gift in the 'now', but the knowledge will be a great on-going gift :)

I'll be having Paulie's PSU sent out to him today and he said when that arrives the OCZ will be on it's way to you! Since he lives only an hour or so from me, it should get there (I would hope) by tomorrow. If I was at home I'd just drive it over to him :\

Glad to hear this all worked out.

I wish I would have seen the thread before, I would have donated something. Anything else you need?

Oh, and this thread is lacking in the photo department, I think I'm probably not the only one that would like to seen how this rig turned out.

could use a set of speakers

photos will be posted when all the parts get here and we start building. I forgot my camera saturday. Right now, I have recieved the monitor, CPU, heatsink, motherboard, and case. Still waiting on the RAM(being shipped today from my understanding), hard drive and PSU(being shipped later this week). I already had the 8800gt, OS, DVD drive, and KB/mouse.

OH You should get him Portal! It's free still right now :D Even if it isn't quite up his ally in terms of the game type he's interested in, it'd at least be a game AND something you can just crank the hell out of the graphics for some nice eye candy :)

What a mindblowing climax, I never expected it to get this far. This is the kind of genorosity and happy endings you only see in movies. And on TPU of course!
As soon as he starts putting that PC together, he's going to slowly turn into one of us... A new beginning in life...
This thread should be displayed loud and proud, a TPU user-to-user-donation-history section maybe?
Well done everyone especially BarbaricSoul, that's something amazing you've all done.

So, I do have some speakers I could give for the price of shipping. They are older, but work pretty well.

Rick told me about this thread. Excellent stuff.

I've got an extra serial key (legit) for Dirt 2 for the kid, he can download from Steam and activate it.

Barbaric, PM me if you're interested. :)
