Rather than a custom loop you may be better off with a AIO cooler. Look at Corsair H series etc.

Yea AIO loop would be best idea for you, when you look at them you should look at space in your computer case to make sure you have space needed to install one.

Honestly, reliability wise, you are better off with a high-end air cooler. Water pumps go bad, my H60 didn't last much more than a year. Replaced it with a Noctua NH-D14 and my temps actually went down a few degrees.

Pretty much the best CPU cooler bar the Cryorig R1

It used to be, but now the Deep Cool Gamer Storm Assassin heat sink(which I have on my 3930k) is better, so is the PH TC14PE and Dark Rock 3, as well as several others.

the Deep Cool Gamer Storm Assassin

And I will never buy that, because of such a ridiculous juvenile name  Phanteks cooler is pretty good from what I recall, the Cryorig was a bonus because it didn't encroach on any RAM.

Yeah, the name is kinda hilarious, but considering it keeps my 3930k OC'ed to 4.3ghz under 70'c at full-load for weeks on end, I'm ok with that. Reason why I choose it was because it's design is very similar to the NH D14, but with 8 heat pipes instead of the 6 the D14 has. Definitely got to use LP RAM with the D14 and the Assassin

When asking for water-cooling help, PC case should be mentioned, true custom water-cooling needs lots of space. If you really want to go this route, you should read some basic articles first. once you have general idea what you want, people will help you.

lol, pretty much what I thought.

Water cooling is a hobby first, a practicality second. Plenty of air coolers are big enough to handle the dissipation of even a moderately overclocked chip. I'd recommend custom WC every time but only if that person actually wants to invest in the 'adventure'.

But, with all that said, gaming with a 3930k at 4.4Ghz on 1.38-1.4v and a 780ti Classified at 1215Mhz at 1.21v with fans at no more than 700-900 rpm after 2 hours on BF4 is audio bliss. Air can't touch good water but my WC set up cost as much as my gfx card. o_O

The Glacer 240 is a fine cooler as long as it fits in your case.

What case do you have?

Looks like you might have an issue with the board that supports the USB, etc ports on top. Test fit the cooler for clearance carefully.
