cleaning a W/C system....

I had heard that running a mixture of white wine vinegar through the pipes for half an hour.

if thats true how much vinegar should I add to 1 litre of distilled water?

you might not need vinegar, it depends on your rad.
its better just to use soapy water and then wash with distlled
[im talking about the rad]

Just use a little soap and very hot water!!
Then flush with very hot water many times after!!

no u need to take apart your entire setup.

Do not run vingar though your loop as it will hurt your orings and also stain your acrylic.

Infact vinegar should be used as a last method when you need to get rid of heavy oxidation only.

Do not use soap as you will never get it clean and you'll get plagued with soap bubbles inside your radiator for a VERY long time.

In most cases, a full on clean will require you to take apart your loop. Almost never required tho unless you got nasty gunk inside.

In most cases, you will just need to flush, where you empty your coolant and fill it with new coolant like an oil change.

We need more info:
1. Did you use dyes?
2. How long was the loop up?
3. Is your tubing clouded?

Picture would be the best answer.

Yes im being serious. Connect the tubing to the outlet on that, and let the bubbles do all the work.
And then Rince with water.

However Tubing ONLY. :rolleyes:
