Basically this thread... is basically will be a discussion of suggestions for the Clubhouse system.

    ======================================================================

    Heres what I want implemented:

-Moderators should make a hidden section and store Inactive clubhouses there. Users themselves can request for them to do this.

Basically remove any inactive clubhouse and put it in the hidden section, a bin. If the user requests deletion, completely delete the thread and do not remove.

I find it rather annoying that the Clubhouse section is spotted with many inactive clubhouses, if we remove inactive clubhouses it should clean the place up a significant amount. Same with Closed clubhouses. We DONT want to see them thank you.
-Owners of the clubhouse should be able to retrieve inactive clubhouses on request, however depending on situation. i.e. lets say the club is a spam land, basically the owner is not allowed to be granted access again.
-A user should only be allowed to have ONE clubhouse.

    ====================================================================

If the final rule is applied, I'd request the Core 2 Clubhouse to be put into that hidden section or even an archive section.

No offense to you or you informative club TK , but I even as a member of the AMDoc'ers club, would rather clubs just be eliminated all together. There should be a few exemptions of course...such as an infomative group (like the 1K-2K club) with lots of useful info posted ,instead of just excessive rambling.

I realize Im gonna take flack for this, but the clubhouses have just become way too out of hand as of late!

Also if they were removed from rescent posts such as the general nonsence would be great as well!!!!!

I have to agree with you sneeky peet. I'd prefer my club be a "support thread" instead of a club. Clubs such as my one, was made for the purpose of assisting TPU users. However, whats the purpose of a clubhouse such as the teen clubhouse...? Explain that please? I'm quite sick of the amount of spam in that club, no offense. It was great when it first started but its starting to be saturated with rulebreaking rubbish that is fairly offensive.

Back when I started the clubhouse, it was in the Video Cards section... I somewhat hate where it is right now. In the clubhouse section, classified as "Possible spam" thus not adding to the post count. Im okay with that.

Seriously no offense Teen clubhouse, but you guys are ruining our forum's image.

The administration is discussing what to do about the spam clubs right now. It has really gotten out of hand.

I'm not saying all of the clubs are spam, there are quite a few useful threads in there but they get mixed with the spam threads.

Just remove the spam ones, and keep the ones that actully have a meaning.

Or merge all the spam clubs, and change the name to "Spam club"

I agree so I'll take some of that flack.
It all stemed from the who wears glasses thread posted months ago, where the concept of the teenclubhouse came up.

I'm fine with that clubhouse as I do belive every community needs a madhouse, but its now a bit much with more of these other clubhouses.

My main issue with it is....in these threads they always say ...hit me up on MSN ....why dont they keep all the BS sillyness there instead of eating up valuable space on the forums. Either that or start to chrge these few who are just randomly starting clubs to help pay for the space. Cant really complain then!

Perhaps starting clubhouses should be taken out of members hands and left to mods.

To all those who have complained about the teen club... if you don't like something. Stay away. Simple.

And last time I checked, there were less clubs than General Nonsense posts. Why should club owners have to pay charges for the server, when General Nonsense is the main source of spam?
All the club section really needs, IMO, is inactive stuff removed, and some of the more offensive posts removing. (p_o_s's porn smileys)

perhaps starting a new clubhouse should have moderator/administrator approval?

I agree, though - there certainly are a lot of muck "clubhouses", and people post into them so quickly and so often that they stay planted at the top of the clubhouse forum - in essence, a sticky by repetitive posting. Granted, a lot of other threads grab posts farily quickly, but not as quick as those . . .

I like the idea of support "clubhouse" threads, as we all know certain hardware tends to have it's quirks, and I think those support threads help keep repetitive threads from cropping up in the other hardware forums here.

I personally remember when we did not have a club forum, and the power users were made. I believe that without that forum, things would be nice, and without clubs, things would be even better.

I vote, you must have over 250+ posts to join 1 club, 500+ to join 2 clubs, and etc.

you wanna chit chat and flap ur lips use msn or aim or whatever.

the forum is supposed to be for tech. not for talk.

sorry to sound so harsh but i think some things/people are starting to get a little out of hand here and its bloating this wonderfull forum with uselessness.

MAYBE a dedicated AND controlled "subforum" for all clubhouses so that our community can still interact with eachother while maintaining a streamlined "main" forum.

although i still dont see the problem with chatting outside the forum as to alleviate the workload for the admin + mods.

these are just my opinions so FIRE AWAY!

    :toast:

edit:also thnx 2 pt, Random Murderer and sneekypeet for ur like-mindedness

    Exactly.:toast:
All the other clubs made by the teenclub founders just feel like another sub-division of the teenclub under a different name.:toast:

to us, clubs are well clubs, they aren't meant to be compliations of info, they are meant to be hangouts of certain groups of people to hang out. for example, the teen club is a hangout for teens, where we discuss teen related issues and have lots of fun. the amd club is similiar, we discuss our amd components, and amd related stuff(well not much of that yet, still in the registration phase). just because we made 2 other clubs doesn't mean that we're on a club making spree...
