I purchased the cm stacker (pre 810 edition. like 810 but only 1 rear fan). im not too sure how to install the stand offs for it, and the instructions suck. Just says install them. So if any1 has installed a system in the stacker. the knowledge would be greatful

standoffs just screw into motherboard tray.
You then place the motherboard on top of the standoffs and you screw the motherboard onto the standoffs.

it was my guess. just from what i think are the standoffs. thought they might scratch the mobo

Nah they prevent the mobo from shorting out :).
If you dont install them, your board will buuuurn.
