Seriously i need help big time!!!

recently i had a motherboard die on me i now have a new one so i had to reinstal everything windows games everything.
I installed cod 4 updated to latest version etc also pb update.
Went to play a few games last night every server i join is banning me for aimbot violation #50105 ??
Whats going on guys Ive never cheated in 7 years of online gaming i aint stupid!!
and i wouldnt be posting here if it was a fault of my own
it says pb banned me for 2mins but then the server admin bans me for life great stuff!!
i feel so diss heartend right now cos i havent done nothing wrong!
i emailed activision and pb but they reply so slow i haven recieved anything yet.
Is pb seeing somthing that it think s is a aimbot? I really want to sew somone over this really cos the ban lists get shared and ill be pretty much banned from every server and ill be forces to buy the game again.For doing nothing wrong this sux big time.

got a big feeling this isnt going to get me anywhere.
steam has made errors before so i bet pb can too but i bet they dont do anything about it.

Is it every server? Some servers are running older versions and haven't updated and noticed I got kicked from a few of them. Have you tried doing a fresh install? I had to do that once since my updates weren't correctly working and I was getting kicked. Give that a shot

I have worked with Anti Cheat Inc., an independant anti-cheat organization like AASA and AON for America's Army. I will tell you this - getting a ban lifted is a MAJOR PITA.

If you aren't cheating, though, have faith in the system. Yes, it will take time. Yes, it will (and already has been) frustrating, but wrongs should be righted.

Your first step is to be unbanned by PB. Then, once PB updates, you won't be PB banned. Then, work your way down, banlist by banlist. I doubt that many individual servers have banned you. In the meantime, don't go into a crapload of servers. You'll give your username a bad name.

You may want to create a new account name for testing if you can play or not. Then again, I don't know exactly how COD4 bans, whether it be by IP or GUID. America's Army always bans by GUID, but ACI banned by IP and GUID.

yes every server mate and yes ive just done a fresh install i tried a server out without updates but it kicked me for not having the right version so i updated cod4 again and joined another server and it banned me 30 seconds into the game i also closed anything i could like msn nod32 antivirus etc.. looks like pb is screwing me over.

which is why i posted here cos im posting to people that probably wont trash me and call me a cheat.this is just so unbeliveable i wish u guys could be here in my room right now to prove myself.

why not just register a new username and go from there?
also, i thought that uninstalling the game will erase your exp levels and you have to start from scratch anyways... (but i havent actually tested that yet)

you do have to start from scratch but surly changing your user name wouldnt lift a ban its probably locked to my serial or somthing.

PB is a major PITA, i had problems with it before, many problems, i had to look for a cracked exe(even tho i own the game), no kidding, and that seemed to work.

While you find a solution to your problem, play in servers with PB off, do a search on www.game-monitor.com, i know there are many servers that dont use PB.

Just find a good server with active admins that doesnt use PB, they usually kick/ban anyone that tries to cheat.

If you are giving up on COD 4, get TF2, just as fun i think...

You don't have to start from scratch...PM me if you want details. They designed the game really poorly in that aspect.

Try a new username and see if it happens.

Alot a times pb bans not just usernames but the cd-key that is being used. Happen to me alot in cod2. But eventually it started working right!

Hope so m8 i planned to join a tpu clan for cod 4 too i was just waiting for my new mobo to arrive now i cant cos of this pb error cos thats what it is as im no cheater.
i really want compensation for this payed £35 for a game i cant play

PB has got to be one of the worst anti-hacking methods available. Its sort of like Microsoft, it prevents legitimate users from using their software correctly while the hackers are able to slip past everything.

funny thing is all this happened to me ,I would continuously get removed from servers for a certain amount of time.

Answer was......turn on the ingame option for PB to be able to run, most likely you are getting kicked because the servers cant see PB running!!!!

i had the same problem, kept getting kicked even though punkbuster was on in game...
I needed to manually update punkbuster:

you download the manual installer for your game, run it, then scan for games... update the games and viola... it works

Try downloading pbsetup.exe from their site and add cod4 to the list and update, although some servers still use old version of pb thus getting kicked, not banned, I've got those problems but now I'm not playing on servers with older pb, just try updating and see? PB is the worst thing to anti cheating/hacking next to GameGuard lol

Possibly Mouse Responsiveness, stating its inhumanley possible to do like 8 circles turning around that is, well with current Optical mice and those from like 3 years ago can do that so easily.

Cool I've never thought it would be the speed of the mouse turning from pt 1 to pt 2 with high sensitivity.. Could be?

it has happened in battlefield 2, but Im running Latest COD 4 myself, dont get kicked by punkbuster, i just make sure its updated every so often. it seems PBsetup is flawed currently, best off downloading the Files from evenbalance and putting them in yourself with backing up the current ones.
