    So, recently one of my friends told me that Comcast was offering a new Teir of internet speed. 50 Megabits/10 Megabits. Now I have ATT Uverse DSL/Fiber, and I am fairly happy with it. However the comcast service is considerably cheaper per Bit.

    Current offerings now are;

    18 Megabits down/2 Megabits up using ATT, it's a rock solid service, and I rarely have issues. However, latency has been a slight issue, I generally get the listed download speeds but response times from DNS servers(even using OpenDNS) is sluggish(150ms).
    But it costs me 65USD a month
    And 64USD for the U200 TV services
    129.00 USD

    The new comcast services is

    50 Megabits down/10 Megabits at 100 USD.
    as well as Digital Starter video package for 57.95+ USD
    (IT would be cheaper, I am going with the non-promo price for comparison overall)

    157.95 USD(129.99 USD promo price for 6 months--aka how I justify it to my GF).

    Any-thoughts?

    Those are pretty impressive DSL speeds (or fiber?) you are currently getting. What are you going to be using the bandwidth for? Don't forget Comcast has 250GB caps.

    Yea

    I had considered that, however at 100 bucks a month I don't think they'll have any right to be mad. I only heard of people doing like 10 times that getting busted..

    Although it is 50Mbps/10Mbps, it is cable internet, which means if there are a shit ton of people on the internet you may not get those speeds. Do you live in a metropolitan area or rural? I wouldn't decide solely on my advice, but I want to hear opinions from other people that use cable.

    Normally I'd agree with you Jstn7477, and I live in a rather large apartment complex, about 100 apartments. However generally with a new roll out they project better. Also I have noticed that a good chunk of the people in the place, have ATT's service.

    Yeah EASO we pay a lot more than most any other country in the world and the speeds are horrendous. Even north and south korea have better speeds and cheaper prices. Man dude, I want that ATT internet and Uverse service but they don't offer it here, not even in Huntsville AL. Id so get their TV and the Internet. Id stick with what you have, I love my charter 10/1 (or could go 20/3) but the cost is a prohibitive factor.
