Well, my computer hasn't been shutting down for a while, I just didn't care. Now I'm really worried and I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. What should I do? I'm about to do a clean install of windows XP.

Try taking the power cord out the back :p. If that doesnt work, your PC is haunted lol

Have you tried directly jumping off the power on pins on your mobo?
