I recently purchased an xbox 360. I am using a Logitech Z-5300 Speaker setup. Is there any way of converting the optical output from the Xbox to the 3-Stereo jack 5.1 setup used by my speakers?

At RadioShack you can get a converter adapter that converts optical to coaxial digital output and viceversa. I remember seeing RCA outputs on one end. I have one at home. I don't remember the model. I couldn't find them on their web-site. One of the salesmen over there helped me on this.

What is the technical name for the input into an amp that is a 3 plug stereo jacks: front, rear, and center/sub?
