idk about CPU degridation. thats a crazy low voltage. thates the kind of stuff you see on xeons.

It was already a rather low voltage for 3.8GHz, probably it just can't run that low anymore.

If stable with higher vcore then it's degradation.
The CPU won't last much with that volt and that OC, because it will need more vcore over time to get stability. and more voltage speeds up degradation

I am not so sure that degradation is even going on here. The fact that this is a relatively new CPU would tell me this. The voltage was too low to start with so giving a tad more is what it need in the first place.

Got another BSOD today and saw the error code... 109. Apparently that means increase memory voltage... which is strange, since my ram isn't overclocked at all. Anyway I'll try boosting ram voltage and see if it helps.

What is the voltage of your RAM in the BIOS? I know that in order to get my RAM to run right I have to make sure that it is set to 2.2v in the bios as one auto it is only feeding them 1.2v Just not even close to enough.
I am not sure what your RAM is but check out what it says on the sticks for voltage information.

What does the manufacture say it should be? I do not know much about DDR3 RAM but I know that my DDR2 stuff needs at the very least 2.2v. 1.5 seems a bit low.

1.5 is what they say to run it at. The RAM isn't overclocked at all, everything is at stock settings. The only thing I'm not sure of is the command rate... I can't find anywhere what they say the command rate should be, not even their own site. I'm running at 1T, it might be 2T... 2T sucks though, 1T is much faster.

in your sig it states 1T so that ram is capable of 1T

That's what I have it running at... I can't find that info anywhere. Even their own page only says 9-9-9-24 1.5v, nothing about command rate anywhere.

you mean a 0xc109 or 0x109? if its 0x109 your OS kernel has been illegally patched

btw it states those modules are guaranteed compatible with your motherboard so, either it is the memory or the motherboard failing, CPUs dont really fail too often- however you have that one lapped...

If you want some info on your memory, try RAMMon by Passmark... it is free for personal use and comes in 32 or 64 flavors.
Reads info off your sticks. If you have not modified your memory's info, it should show you what the manufacturer has them programmed for.

It will allow users to identify a multitude of attributes, of which, includes the manufacturer, the clockspeed and other data of their DDR2, DDR3, XMP and EPP memory devices and even some older memory types.
