When the dog isn't let out in time and takes a huge crap on your carpet, it usually smells much worse than a litter box. Especially if your dog gets table scraps.

Lol t77 you got it, gotta protect my little one, even if she is a rascal some times.

As for cats vs dogs, I used to have thirteen cats out here (just outside "farm cats," I live out in the country), but I got rid of half of them and frankly wouldn't mind getting rid of the rest too. I had only had cats until 2008, when I got my first dog. I thought it'd be pretty much the same as having a cat, but not by a long shot. The relationship you form with a dog goes far deeper. My first dog was shot last summer by an unknown stranger and it hurt like my best friend had been killed. :(

I love cats, BUT most are hard to train and not as obediant(sp?) like dogs. I have tried tons of methods to keep my cat off my computer stuff, but she doesn't learn.

That's because she's female nothing to do with male cats... (j/k)

Seriously a cat can be train it just take times but of course it wont the same things do as dogs do..
A dog got only one master in house a cat HIS the only master in house...

My first dog was shot last summer by an unknown stranger and it hurt like my best friend had been killed. :(

That is not right... i don't like dogs to much but i wouldn't never harm a dogs or any other animals either... unless it would attack me & be in real danger

And don't wait too long to let them out...

Yeah and cats can and do take out a lot of song birds and other wildlife. :( They are cute little predatory killing machines.

And don't wait too long to let them out...

We have a Rat terrier. She's a really nice dog, but she'll start snooping around outside and we live in a complex. There are other dogs not on a leash that would easily kill her.

We get our cats fixed. They don't pee on anything anymore. Being in heat all the time is hard on them, and once they're fixed, they're much more cuddly. My cat muffin follows me around all over the place despite there being other people. If I have to get up to go to school and my alarm goes off, she runs upstairs and jumps on me to keep me from getting up.

What kind of person, upon seeing this, thinks quick! grab the camera! instead of lunging toward puppy and laptop?!

Wrigley, the Dominators are safe on my dining room table! Thought you'd be glad to hear that. Will leave you some feedback as soon as I get a few things done.

Indeed glad to hear that, thanks. Would have sent original packaging too but would have required medium box and thus $5 more...

Because under the keyboard is a thick rubber membrane separating the pee from any electronics. :rockout:

I've got a part Chow/Burnese . Actually a smaller dog than you would think.

The only damage he ever caused , is about 4 years ago I had an Apple Studio Display (when they were thousands $$$) , on a weak table(i found out) .... the dog jumped to see what was on the table and the display fell over. not even off, just on top of some spare change or somehting stupid like that - just enough to put a huge crack in the middle of it. was about a month out of warranty when it happened.

that being said - it was my fault it happened. Dogs unlike cats can be taught if you actually pay attention. the majority of dogs want one thing:to please their owners. the issues arise when they don't know how to do that , or what does the opposite.

the idea that a cat is more well behaved, etc - is ridiculous. they are just smaller, lazier, and less likely to tear stuff open for the most part. scientific tests show they are not as smart as dogs though. the parallel strings experiment.

my point is, to each their own. if you like cats so be it, but if you like dogs it's never nice to hear people saying dogs are worthless, bad pets, etc. You can form a relationship with a dog that you could NEVER form with a cat - simply because the cat doesn't have it in them. it wasn't part of their evolutionary process to be "man's best friend" So if you don't like the smell, or the noise, or the work , OK. I don't like the smell, the act, the look, the laziness of cats. but to each their own.
