if the laptop takes 12V DC then theoretically yes. But I wouldn't do it unless I wanted to get myself an injury and a paperweight that smells of fried electronics.

Most of them are around 18v and up, I was thinking about this myself once, but then stopped the entire thing and just bought some Deltaco inverter for it.

This. The DC input for laptops is usually 15-19V, which goes to the battery. Then you have a couple of outputs there, dunno how many volts.

And even it it was possible, what would the reason be? Not worth the hassle.
