Considering an XFX GTX 260

I had just sold my XFX 4850 XXX for $150 and now I'm considering an XFX GTX 260 core edition. Not only does it come with COD:W@W, it may even come with Mirror's Edge and FC2. It doesn't says so on the newegg site but it is implied in the pictures of the box and in some of its reviews. Can anyone confirm this? Also at $180 + $25 shipping to Hawai'i, it seems like a great deal.

Is it too good to be true? Is there any reason not to get it? I've considered 4870 but the most they came with is Stalker and I'd rather have the XFX 260's bundled games at this point.

It's a nice card at a great price. I've had both a 4870 and a gtx260, and the gtx260 is much better IMHO.

i would have kept the 4850 and got another but if u want a gtx 260, go for it

You should buy a GTX 260 216SP !

They overclock like beast and peform very well! Also they support CUDA which is useful is you use programs like Badaboom.
Overclocked they almost match a GTX 280/285 !

But you should consider buying an aftermarket cooler because the stock coolers are very noisy.

I agree I have a BFG core 192 and I have not even needed to overclock it yet, plays everything with my settings I like on 24" fine, however I don't play Crysis but it will play it fine just not maxxed but for the cost, performance is great I will hold it for another 6 mths then upgrade to whatever is decent value used at that time like a 295 or something

I'm not sure if that's a 65 nm core 216 or a 55 nm core 216, either way you won't really notice a difference to be honest. It's a great card, my 260 is quite a bit better than the 4870 I was using.

The 192 SP version is 65nm and doesn't perform that good.. they are slower than HD 4870's . The 260 216SP is 55nm and are faster than HD 4870's . Overclocked they almost match GTX 280/285's ...

I have a 65 nm 216 SP 260. Ends up having the better cooler and voltage control through precision. Mine destroys the 4870 that I sold after clocking it a bit.

The 65nm version of GTX 260 216SP doesn't excist

It'll clock to 760 core with no issues. :rockout:

My GTX 280 only clocks to 713 stable

But it's still faster than the HD4890 :laugh:

I can't hardly wait to try out this card. I've also considered a second 4850 but I figured I was getting a free upgrade to a GTX 260 with the purchase of a game I wanted to buy anyway. FC2 and ME would be the icing on the cake if they are still bundled with the card. :rockout:

For people in the US I'd consider the below GTX 260 Core 216. It's 160usd with rebate and 180usd without. It's 655|2100 out of the box.

You could go SLi for 360-320usd depending on if you bothered with the rebates or not.
